Investment in the project is estimated at $10 million. Khaled Soueidan, a major shareholder, said that he will finance the project from his own resources.

The total space of the land is 30,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 6,200 m2. Machines required for the factory will be imported from South Korea.

The factory is expected to create around 70 full time jobs.

The production capacity will be ten tons of aluminum per day. Soueidan said: “The company conducted a feasibility study and found that there is demand for such products, especially that the number of aluminum profile producers in the market does not exceed four.”

The company aims to export part of the production to Syria and African countries.

Soueidan owns cement and motorcycles factory in Syria, but both were closed due to the turmoil.
