The total number of passengers, including arrivals, departures, and those transiting, had reached 7.2 million as of November, according to RAFIC HARIRI International Airport figures.
These figures are expected to exceed 7.5 million by the end of the year.Airport activity has increased 6.5 percent year-to-date.
Mohamad Chehabeddine, Director of Civil Aviation, said: “Local political stability has encouraged Arabs as well as European visitors.”
Chehabeddine said that flights are fully booked for this month.
More than 110 daily flights will arrive at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport during this period.
